The Gordon College Bennett Athletics and Recreation Center is our 72,000 sq. ft. athletics and recreational sports facility. It was completed in October 1996 and in 1997 won the Athletics Business Magazine Top Ten New Facilities Award for its design and usability. It is home to Gordon's Fighting Scots Athletics, as well as Gordon College Recreation, La Vida outdoor education rock gym, and a variety of classes and activities.
Membership: The Bennett Center at Gordon College is our campus athletics and recreation facility for students, faculty, staff and alumni and was designed to meet the intercollegiate athletics, campus recreation, and academic needs of the campus community. It is not a commercial health club and is not open to the general public for recreation. By contract with Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, and by usage agreement with the Hamilton Recreation Department, limited access to areas of the Bennett Center are available to registered users of these groups. In addition, Harmeling Physical Therapy operates an onsite physical therapy practice clinic which utilizes portions of the Bennett Center. Summer conference guests are eligible for guest usage during their stay on campus.
Fitness Center: The Fitness and wellness programs at Gordon College seek to challenge the campus community in all dimensions of human development toward a recreational fitness lifestyle, promoting and teaching the pursuit of safe and healthful personal fitness which students can continue after graduation and which faculty, staff, and alumni can pursue throughout their lives. Student instructors supervise the Fitness Center during operation and provide information and resources for exercisers.
Parking is available in the Bennett Center parking lot or the adjacent Ferrin lot (directly across the street from the Bennett Center)
